As his name would suggest, Fornax' productions are all about space and stripping a tune back to its most basic elements of lilting rhythms and bassline grooves. 'Phalanx' is an example of this finely-honed approach to building beats; with subtle pipes, a warm, rolling sub-bass and minimal mid-range, there is a sense of effortless yet tightly-controlled movement.
With a bunch of forthcoming releases lined up and a steady stream of collaborations with fellow fast-riser Content appearing, Fornax is one to be keeping an eye on.
