Caski, hailing from Bedford, has been carving his own sound out of the 140bpm bracket for a little while now. Incorporating a strong range of styles - from bouncing dark garage (see his recent release on El-B's Ghost Records), to straight-up, groove-driven dubstep, to four-to-the floor numbers and deep, cavernous half-steppers - his beats have been picked up by DJs on not only the major pirate (and of course, ex-pirate) stations but also the likes of BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra.
'Sinking' sees him take a low-end trajectory, working tight drums around a pulsing bass groove and bringing in the atmosphere with some characteristically apt sample choice.
