Free Download: OG'z - Oh Geezus, It's Christmas AGAIN!

Following up from 2009's 'Oh Geezus, It's Christmas' mixtape P Money, Blacks and Little Dee are back fronting this free eight track release. With features from some of the less known OG members and the beats being provided by a tight selection of some of the most in demand producers at the moment (just take a look at the beat selections from Lord Of The Mics 3 for an idea of how dominant these guys currently are) this is a welcome return to the mixtape format from the crew, who have remained relatively quiet since 'OG Season' and the departure of Dot Rotten.

Free Download: Royal T - RIP Hot Ones (feat. OG'z)

The ever-generous Butterz have given away Royal T's updated version of his first remix of P Money's 'Hot Ones', which also features vocals from OG'z members Blacks and Little Dee. Keeping the 4x4 kicks and snares of the first remix (which can also be downloaded for free here), the growling synth line is extended to a full driving bassline which carries the vocal with ease.

This free release is to promote Butterz' first vocal release entitled 'Boo You', which features P Money, Blacks and Slickman vocalling Royal T's remix of TRC's 'Oo Aa Ee' and can be pre-ordered here.

Free Download: P Money - I Beat The Tune

To support the launch of his new website ibeatthetune.com aswell as the hotly-anticipated forthcoming release of 'Blacks & P', OGz member P Money has released this free mixtape featuring eight new tunes.

The message is clear with this release as P looks to establish himself as an artist willing and able to crossover to other styles of bass music, in particular dubstep. The result is a mixed bag, as the aggressive jump-up of Flux Pavilion doesn't really warrant a vocal whereas Emalkay's 'Crusader' and, to a certain extent, 'Prodigy Freestyle' test P to adapt his flow and ends with a worthy update to the instrumental; and perhaps unsurprisingly, the standout tracks are those on which a grime instrumental is vocalled. 'Blackberry' is interesting as it is probably the closest he's come so far to making a commercial tune, despite opposing the grime scene's favourite mobile phone...

Tracklist:

1. Blackberry
2. Prodigy Freestyle (feat. Blacks)
3. Mike Lowery
4. Who Are You Watching (feat. Wariko & Jay Eye)
5. Crusader Freestyle
6. I Can't Stop
7. Originator
8. P Money's Bass Cannon

P Money - Ho! Riddim // Newham Generals - Bag Of Grease // JME - Blam!

Grime artists aren't known for their proficiency in the field of actually releasing their tunes (there's a lot of people still waiting for 'Bud Sweat & Beers'or the elusive 'D Double EP'), which, it must be said, is largely due to a lack of label and media support, so when one such long promised release does drop it's just one more good day for grime music.

First up is man-of-the-moment P Money's collaboration with Funky House hero Marco Del Horno and the most recent convert to grime production, DJ Swerve (the man also responsible for the beat behind D Double E's EP-referencing 'Streetfighter Riddim'), entitled 'Ho! Riddim':

Second is a release which has been hugely anticipated by grime fans worldwide, and has been some time coming. The Newham Generals are easily among the most highly respected members of the grime scene. Releasing once more on Dizzee Rascal's Dirtee Stank label, the duo cement their position at the top as they deliver a short and flawless EP which features the huge 'I'm A General' with the late Slew Dem member Esco Big Bars joining them on vocal duties:

Finally we have the latest from grime scene don and King of Grime crown-challenger, Boy Better Know's JME with his latest CD offering 'Blam!'. Despite many of the MCs in his generation making moves over to the money in the mainstream, this collection boasts a tracklist aiming to extend grime music to a wider audience rather than simply using his history in grime as pre-existent evidence of talent.

And with Frisco's hotly anticipated long player set for release on Monday the 11th of October aswell, this could be quite a month for the UK scene...

Plastician & P Money - History Of Dubstep Mix

We enjoy our history mixes here at Hedmuk, and we're enjoying this one that little bit more as it features the vocal talents of easily one of the fastest moving grime MCs of the year: P Money. With Plastician on the wheels of steel, the mixing is tight and, by the nature of the history mix, the tune selection is diverse and without any fillers. Performed live at the Thekla in Bristol last, there's some serious hype on this one: watch the video footage here.
